How it works

A todo list that refuses to grow.

The Focus Grid is an anti-todo app. It holds at most twelve items — three for today, three for the week, three for the year, three for the vision — and it will never hold more.

The problem

Todo lists grow faster than you finish them

Forty items deep, every list becomes a graveyard of good intentions. The longer it gets, the harder it is to see what actually matters — so you spend your energy managing the list instead of doing the work.

The constraint

Twelve slots. That is the feature.

Three things today, three this week, three this year, three for the life you want. When a column is full and something new comes up, you must decide what it replaces. The limit is not a restriction — it is the product.

The north star

Today, in sight of the point

Your day sits on the same screen as your year and your vision. You choose today’s three things while looking at where they are supposed to lead — so the small work stays connected to the big work.

Questions

Where is my data stored?
In your browser, and nowhere else. The grid lives in localStorage on your device — there is no account, no server, and no network call behind it. If you clear your browser data, the grid is cleared too.
Is it free?
Yes. The grid you see here is free forever. A paid tier with sign-in and sync across devices is coming — leave your email below if you want it.
Can I add more slots or columns?
No. Four columns, three slots each, twelve items — ever. Every productivity app dies by growing features until it becomes the overwhelm it promised to fix. This one refuses.
What happens each morning?
A quiet daily reset. Yesterday’s items in the Day column ask to be kept, promoted, or let go — so every day starts with a deliberate choice, not a backlog.

Sync across devices is coming.

Leave your email and we’ll tell you when it’s ready. Nothing else, ever.
